This has been an action-packed, whirlwind trip so far. After flying into Entebbe, Uganda, we spent two nights in Entebbe and then we were flying off to Jinja for the Senior Pastors and Wives’ conference. We spent four days there ministering to the couples who hadn’t seen each other in two years because of the lockdown last year. It was such a blessing to hear their testimonies of how God has used the teaching at the conferences to bless their marriages, families, and churches. Some couples had come in the past at the point of divorce only to be exhorted and encouraged to repent and keep trying. They prayed for each other and keep each other accountable. Eventually their marriages were restored and are now flourishing. The young people on our team shared in worship one morning and everyone was blessed. You would think they had been playing together for years.
After four days in Jinja, we drove four hours to Soroti where Dr. Juventine and his wife Dr. Elizabeth have Bethesda Hospital and Calvary Chapel Soroti. It was so good to see everyone and to see all the growth in the hospital. We joined a team from Promise Child Ministries as they hosted a half day women’s conference. We know that women’s lives were changed for eternity! We also were there for the School of Ministry graduation where 16 students who had been studying for two years graduated! Many are off to plant churches and other ministries throughout East Africa.
Now we are in Naluko where we will be for the next six days. It will be good to settle in for a bit.
Please pray for our team as we continue to serve the Lord here in Uganda. We have such a great group of people and are so blessed to minister with them. Pray for continued unity, strength, protection from any illnesses and to continue to be used by God to share the message of the Gospel and encourage believers.
We can truly feel everyone’s prayers.
