Merry Christmas!

Luke 2:10-14 (NKJV) 10 Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. 11 “For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 “And this [will be] the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.” 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: 14 “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”

This is Rose, Naka and Joy along with their brothers Matia, Natu and Eddie. They have lived their entire life with barely enough to survive. They were abandoned by their parents and left with a grandmother who could not care for them. They were extremely malnourished, had malaria and typhoid. We have been blessed to walk alongside and help these kids. Joy, Rose and Naka are the first residents of the Anchor of Hope House. If we can get the house completed we will probably take the boys in also. By the way, this was the first time any of them had ever gotten a Christmas present. They were so happy and appreciative!

At this time of year when we focus so much on giving and getting, let us remember those who have so little and look for ways to bless them! Remember the greatest gift we ever received is salvation!
