Prayer and Praise update from AIR

Dear Friends,

I wanted to send out a quick update on some of the exciting things that Anchored International Relief has been doing throughout the world.

I am so excited to share this story with you. Many of you may recognize Shantay, the little girl who was born with two of her fingers fused on each hand. When she was born the doctor tried to separate her fingers but did not do a good job and they quickly fused back together only bent. She could not hold a pencil or play normally and was constantly teased by her classmates. So much in fact she did not even want to go to school.

We are pleased to announce that after two surgical procedures her fingers and now separated and she is back in school using them. She told her mother, “I am now normal and no one teases me anymore!”

Some of you have asked about Charles Data the little two year old who was so extremely malnourished when we found him in the Omugo Refugee Camp in Northern Uganda.

The photo above is the day we found him and how he looks now. His mother is so thankful for how we have helped feed and care for Charles, his sibling and his mother. We are giving them $100 a month to provide medical care and food for the family. In addition we are feeding 10 other families in the camp with malnourished children. These families are also $100 worth of food and medical care. As I said before entire families are starving and we cannot just feed one or two children and neglect the rest of the family.

This is all possible because of your prayers and giving to the Anchor of Hope Project! Originally this was just a feeding project but now it encompasses a new feeding center that is under construction, the Anchor of Hope farm, our feeding in the Omega Refugee Camp and sending 8 children to school that would otherwise have been denied an education.

To give to the Anchor of Hope project please use this donate button below and click on Anchor of Hope House.

in three days we will be taking a small team to Asia. Please be in prayer for this trip as the country is a closed country and a difficult place for Christians to live and minister. For security reasons we will not be posting on social media once the trip begins but will update this blog.

Thank you all for your continued support and prayers for us and our ministry.
