Urgent Prayer for Uganda and the village of Naluko

This is from our son Majok Abraham. He and his wife Laura along with our staff member James Vaca are ministering in the village of Naluko. Also pray for our friend Sherill Sedillo who is in Uganda running a small hospital in Naluko. As you will read things are critical right now as Uganda seems to be on the verge of a total lockdown due to the Ebola Virus outbreak this will only add to the hunger situation and make food even more expensive. At the end of Majok’s letter we will tell you how else you can help. ———————————————————
Dear friends,

I greet you all in the name of our Heavenly Father.
We want to continuously appreciate every single one of you that has stood with us in prayer and in any support , we appreciate so much and may God richly bless you.

Please continue to pray with us in some areas as we are struggling both physically and emotionally .
Our country has just shifted from Covid that was a shock to everyone to Ebola, one of the most dangerous viruses that spreads so fast and kill so fast.
Please pray that the lord will shield us from this terrible virus and keep us all safe and healthy.

We are also facing a very serious famine in the village right now and it’s so heart breaking to see all this people starve and cry out for help.

Many families in the village are having an avocado and a cup of water as a meal, some are having no meal at all and others are just relying on neighbors for help. This has all come up because of the fluctuations of commodities in Uganda and an unexpected change in season. Many villagers can’t afford to buy salt or sugar or rice or soap or beans or anything because the prices are really high.

We also experienced a very bad season where people planted food but most of it if not all the food went bad because there was either no rain or too much rain that destroyed whatever was planted . The little harvest that was got, most parents sold it to be able to pay tuition for their children since that’s the only source of income they have to raise tuition . Many sold the food in hopes that the season would get better so they can replant and store food for home use but unfortunately that didn’t happen. This famine is almost turning out to be an emergency in the village but we are praying and hoping it won’t go any further.

Please pray with us for God’s provision and healing since many have already developed an ulcer and can’t even treat it because they don’t have the money but also there is no food.

Please keep us all in prayer.Thank you all for your love and support.
Thank you all so very much for your prayers and support. We are grateful and blessed by you,May God richly bless you.

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”
‭‭~Matthew‬ ‭6:33-34‬ ‭NKJV‬‬~

Please pray for the following:

1. God to divinely stop the spread of the Ebola virus.
2. Pray that the churches will be active in ministering to the people spiritually in the midst of this as hopelessness and fear are rising.
3. Pray for good rains so the crops people plant will yield a good harvest.
4. Pray for resources to help these people. We are going to help with food and possibly personal protective equipment for the hospitals.
